VACANCY: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Minimum Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science/Software Engineering with approximately five years’ teaching experience at a tertiary Institution. Must have research experience in Computer Science/Software Engineering evidenced by international peer-reviewed publications.  Evidence of supervision of MSc and PhD students and managerial skills.
  • Proof of excellent research potential and sustainable research output
  • Good administrative and financial skills
  • The ability to teach undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in Computer programming skills in C++ and Java
  • The ability to function effectively as part of a team and in multicultural environment


Recommendations:

  •  Specialization in one or more of the following aspects of Computer Science/Software Engineering:  Theory of Computation, Algorithms and data structures, programming methodology and language, computer elements.
