The Market Research Associate Director will be a main point of contact for the Keytruda PD1 Marketing/Commercial Team within the Oncology Franchise. Responsibilities will include the following :

- Develop productive relationships with brand teams and senior leadership to provide performance oversight and market research insights in the Oncology Business Unit.

- Synthesize and integrate various secondary data sets, primary market research, and analyses to generate holistic understanding of the market to deliver impactful insights to the business for both in-line and launch brands.

- Regular databases to be used and analysed are IMS Sales/Impact Rx tracking/Ipsos Chart audit/ROI analysis/Forecasting.

- Facilitate insights across all of the tumor areas to proactively give the business a “master brand” outlook

- Provide analyses and summaries of results, interpreting and communicating results and recommendations to brand/business stakeholders

- Partner and influence commercial leadership so they understand and implement key customer and market insights

- Manage annual profit planning of market research, in collaboration with multiple business partners, and ensure insightful market research budgeting throughout the year and with changing priorities.

- Independently plan, design, and conduct simultaneous complex market research projects in support of the annual profit plan

- Utilize strategic and innovative approaches to solve key business problems with a sense of urgency

- Develop performance tracking methodologies that reflect the dynamics of the oncology market

- Identify external vendors (primary and secondary), develop project scope, and conduct market research projects to support profit plan, as well as urgent business needs

- Manage relationships with external vendors to enable effective and efficient market research and analytics execution

- Excellent collaboration skills with other functions to provide objective and rigorous point of view to key business decisions, e.g., marketing, finance, sales analytics, forecasting, payer marketing, investor relations, CORE, creative agencies

- Provide guidance to Sr VP/Business unit directors on Brand strategy based on primary & secondary data information.

- Turn around data requests/queries in minimal time.

- Some travel required

- The position will have 2-4 Direct Reports and a few contractors.

- The position will carry a very large Market research budget in excess of several million dollars and growing.

- It will Report directly to the Executive Director, Market research, Oncology CBL

Qualifications

Education:

- Required: BA/BS

- Preferred: MBA or PhD

Required:

- Minimum of 5 years experience in Pharmaceutical US Market Research

- Must have worked in Analytical roles with strong emphasis on mining databases to answer strategic business questions.

- Past roles supporting sales, forecasting, access and pricing, marketing, competitive intelligence, early indications

- Knowledge of Oncology or other Specialty Therapy areas as well as prior experience on a Global Launch

- Well developed analytical skills, strong problem-solving and demonstrated ability to think strategically and objectively

- Demonstrates strong leadership skills around customer focus, decision making, courage & candor, and fostering collaboration

- Ability to communicate effectively and a strong desire to lead change in terms of developing Best Practices

- 25% Travel

Preferred:

- Experience in working on Brands in the Oncology space.

- Launch preparation experience

- Ability to work tranformationally in fast paced environment
