The University of Leeds Disabled Students’ Assessment and Support is seeking to recruit Disability Strategy Support Tutors to join our expanding team. Our tutors offer 1-1 academic support to students with ‘Specific Learning Difficulties’ (SPLD) and disabled students.

You will join a team of tutors who support over 200 students a week.

Tutors work from dedicated offices in Chemistry West at the University and benefit from administrative support with the allocation of students.

Tutors are paid on an hourly basis on the submission of timesheets.  Support is usually offered during University term-time only, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9.00am-5.00pm, although there is limited scope to provide evening work until 7pm, and some work outside University terms. 

You must have professional (full or associate) membership of: ADSHE or BDA or Dyslexia Guild or PATOSS and also meet the DSA-QAG criteria for providing specialist one-to-one study skills support for students with autistic spectrum conditions.

Rate of pay £32.18/hr inclusive of market supplement of £15.77 (reviewed annually). This correlates to University Grade 7 (£32,004 - £38,183 p.a.)
