Position Title: Lab Computing Analyst
Location: Rensselaer, NY
Type of Assignment: Fulltime

Job Description:

Job Purpose:
The Analyst is responsible for the “IT” Lab Support at a client’s facility. This is a 6 month contract to hire position.  Candidate must be an outgoing individual and who is experience in various lab environments 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Working seamlessly with the corporate IT team.
  • Build and maintain a working relationship with Lab Owners, IT Teams and Management.
  • Proactively support the lab environment
  • Document procedures, policies, troubleshooting and best practices
  • Coordinates and works with outside vendors, with preventative maintenances, requires 6 hours of process area presence, to include gowning. .
  • Maintain daily client communications
  • Participate in client team meetings
  • Listens actively and communicates promptly and effectively with users regarding IT issues. Provides timely follow-up.
  • Escalates IT issues that are not resolved via normal support channels. Acts as an interface between business and corporate IT teams.

  • Ability to manage one’s time with minimal supervision to achieve objectives
  • Follow GmP and GxP best practices
  • Conduct annual and bi-annual reviews of equipment in the labs and process areas
  • Work in a clean environment for extended periods of time
  • Conduct instrument maintenance based on the client’s SOPs.
  • Review and execute validated documents related to software and instrumentation in the environment
  • Professionalism, excellent listening skills, superior analytical skills, great verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage one’s time with minimal supervision to achieve objectives
  • Blue Mountain work stream documentation and work status updates
 Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or  a minimum of 7-10 years’ of relevant professional experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in lab environment.
  • Understanding of lab practices, instruments and software
  • Experience in a validated environment a plus.
  • Demonstrated Leadership abilities and be achievement oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be customer service orientated and believe in teamwork, collaboration, adaptability and Initiative.
  • Problem solving skills to resolve issues.
  • Ability to multitask and support various groups of users
 
Special skills and Required Experience:
  • Excellent customer service skills complimented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex instrument and technology issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed timeframes.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the Company and/or customer’s site safety code.
