Senior Team Leader
To assist the Assistant Managers to take day to day responsibility for the management of cleaning across the University through organising and supporting a team of several Team Leaders and approximately 50 Cleaning Operatives. Supporting and coaching the Team Leaders to ensure that staff are deployed as necessary - ensuring cleaning standards are met across all areas of responsibility, by regular monitoring, and any issues are dealt with swiftly and effectively.
A minimum of two years team leading/supervisory experience, ideally within a cleaning team.
You need to demonstrate good MS office skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Experience of monitoring performance and identifying the training needs of staff.
An understanding of cleaning standards and how to identify and escalate issues when those cleaning standards are not being met.
Proven ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, adaptable and flexible when faced with change.
A strong communicator and confident dealing with stakeholders in a customer focused environment.
A full clean driving licence.
A relevant qualification in cleaning science would be an advantage; ideally a member of BICS or willing to work towards these qualifications.
Experience of recruiting staff.
Experience of planning and organising staffing for large one off events.
