Rehabilitation Sensory Officer - Greater Manchester
NonStop's client is currently looking for experienced Rehabilitation Sensory Officer to join their adults social care team. This local authority is committed to creating stronger communities and increasing resilience within adults services. Ensuring that people get the personalised care they need and additionally will create a better work life balances for the sensory officers.
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Visual Impairment Rehabilitation work
- Of working with and teaching blind and partially sighted people of all abilities, backgrounds and levels of emotional adjustment
- Of teaching mobility/orientation, daily living skills, and use of low vision equipment
- Of working in social care, and management of social care teams
It will be your responsibility to offer a service of rehabilitation training/advice to visually impaired people within Manchester including an assessment of need, packages of care and the needs of the carers. You must hold a DipHE in Rehabilitative Studies or equivalent and have an enhanced DBS.
