Job Details

The Division of Pharmaceutical Biology, Pharmacenter of the University of Basel, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled PhD student with a keen interest in natural product-based drug discovery.

 

Your duties

  • Collaboration in an activity-driven natural products discovery project utilizing our technology platform for HPLC-based activity profiling combining on-line (PDA, ELSD, MS/MS) and off-line (microprobe NMR) spectroscopy, and state-of-the-art high-content screens that are operated in house and in a co-operation with the University of Berne (Prof. Oliver Pertz). Your focus will be on the analytical chemistry part of the project (activity profiling, isolation and structure elucidation).

 

Your profile

  • MSc degree or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology

  • Interest in multi-disciplinary research

  • Good command of German and English
