Job Details
An 'Outstanding' IFA is looking for an experienced Supervising Social Worker to get involved in an exciting project that aims to increase Foster Placement for Children with Disabilities.
This is an Interim role that has been funded by the Government and will last for a minimum of 12 months; however it may turn into a permanent post depending on its success.
As one of the first Supervising Social Workers involved in the project, initial duties will include delivering Skills to Foster Training and taking prospective Foster Carers through Form F Assessment. As approved carers come through Panel the post holder will take on a small case load that he or she will give ongoing support, training and supervision to.
This is an ideal opportunity for Social Workers with a background in Fostering who are looking for a fresh challenge that allows them to have flexible working within a IFA that already delivers a high quality of work and positive outcomes to it's Children in Care.
To be considered you must have at least 2 years experience a Fostering Social Worker within either an IFA or Local Authority. As the project is located in Hertfordshire the post holder must live within the area. Experience in working with Children with Disabilities would be advantageous.
