If so this job could be just for you!
A local authority in the east of England are looking for experienced social workers to join their team as a senior social worker and a qualified social worker, both the roles are within the referral and assessment team where your duties will be to carry out assessments within the homes of children ensuring that their best interest is at the forefront of your mind and making sure they are in a stable and safe environment, where they can flourish.
The assessments have to be carried out through rules and regulations set by the governing body and must comply with section 47 of the child act and if a referral is made to the courts in respect of the welfare of the children then compliance with section 7 may occur and a report to the courts must be had.
The roles have come about through the local authority and the children's services expanding with urgent need for more social workers. Not only through this expansion are more staff needed but the aim is to also keep caseloads down for the social workers to ensure that the best possible service is given to the end users, the children, and so that the complexities of each case can be investigated thoroughly ensuring the best possible outcome for the children.
