Job Details
The primary role of the selected candidate will be working across the Joint Remote Sensing Research Program (www.jrsrp.org.au), specifically Earth Observation Australia (www.eoa.org.au) and the Geoscience Australia “Earth Observation for Government Network” to develop and implement scientific coordination and collaboration across all sectors of Australia’s Earth Observation Community.
The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences is a vibrant, multidisciplinary School with extensive teaching and research programs covering the fields of Geology, Geography, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety Sciences and Planning.
The role
The successful appointee will be engaged to maintain effective communication and awareness of Joint Remote Sensing Research Program and its personnel and algorithms. You will also coordinate the development and delivery of the Earth Observation for Government network in collaboration with Geosciences Australia.
The person
Applicants should possess demonstrated high level interpersonal communication skills, to effectively communicate and build constructive relationships with staff, students, visitors including those from diverse cultural backgrounds and at all levels of seniority. Applicants must also have high-level organisational skills including the ability to operate independently within established frameworks and guidelines while prioritising competing work demands and meeting deadlines.

Remuneration
This is a part-time fixed term appointment (0.5 FTE) at HEW level 7 until 30 June 2019. The remuneration package will be in the range $40,941.82 - $44,779.57 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $49,071.92 - $52,392.10 p.a.).
