Job Details

An experienced postdoctoral researcher is required to carry out on a project, co-funded by the Bristol Synthetic Biology Centre (BrisSynBio) and Bristol Centre for Agricultural Innovation (BCAI), to establish DNA free CRISPR-Cas9 editing in a range of plants and fungi. The appointed person will work with members of the vibrant plant sciences community at Bristol to develop delivery methods and protein-based gene editing procedures in a range of model and crop plants.

Candidates will hold a PhD (or equivalent) in molecular biology and relevant postdoctoral experience in a plant-based lab.

The post is for a period of up to two years and eight months, however, there is scope for potential extension if the candidate is successful in securing further funding.
