Project title: Deciphering the molecular mechanism of action of the E3 complexes
The project combines genetics, biochemistry molecular and structural biology. It aims to determine the mechanism of action of ubiquitin ligases involved in protein homeostasis. It is a joint project of Dr. Marcin Nowotny (structural biology) and Dr. Wojciech Pokrzywa (genetics, biochemistry).
Key responsibilities include
The production of protein using different expression systems, purification of proteins, biochemical studies and structure determination by crystallography and cryo-EM. Additionally, worm genetics will be used in the project.
Profile of candidates/requirements
- Solid knowledge and documented laboratory experience in at least one of the following disciplines: structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics
- Very good command of English (oral and written)
- Motivation and passion for experimental work
- Motivation letter (in English).

- Subjects studied and grades obtained (in English or in Polish)
