The research group "Gastroenterology" under guidance of Prof. Jan Niess is looking for a scientist with interest in mucosal immunology. Main focus of our research team are investigations designed to study immune responses to the intestinal microbiota and their products leading to intestinal diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease. Starting day would be August 2018.


Your position

  • Planning and design of experiments including mouse experimentation

  • Carrying out cell isolation from spleen and intestine, flow cytometry, RNA isolation and qPCR, immunohistochemistry and immunefluorescence

  • Advise for Ph.D. students


Your profile

  • Ph.D. in immunology

  • Experience in common immunological techniques and molecular biology

  • Independence and being a team player in a research group
