Senior Research Associate in Health Services Research
The Centre is a multi-disciplinary group of health services researchers and clinicians that are working to improve the evaluation of surgical and other invasive healthcare procedures. The overall aim is to improve the evidence base and ultimately standards of care in the NHS.
The post-holder will primarily focus on a specific project in the BRC centred on improving the evaluation of devices used in invasive procedures, through initiatives to develop guidance for the appropriate reporting of outcomes in this field, including consideration of the use of core outcome sets. This will involve reviews of existing guidance for the evaluation and reporting of invasive device studies, systematic reviews of published literature (including descriptive analyses), and elicitation of stakeholder opinion through workshops, meetings and collaborations with industry. There will also be opportunities to develop new projects and collaborate on others
