TGB12/031/0118)Die Desmond Tutu TBsentrum (DTTS) onderneem tans ’n vyf jaar lange navorsingstudie oor MIVvoorkoming in samewerking met die Londense Skool vir Higiëne en Tropiese Geneeskunde.

Al die studieterreine is in SuidAfrika geleë. Die doel van die projek is om die getal nuwe MIVinfeksies in bepaalde geografiese gebiede te verminder deur gemeenskapswerkers aan te stel om MIVvoorkomingspakkette te versprei. Die pakkette sluit die vroeë aanvang van antiretrovirale behandeling in. Om hierdie doel te bereik, moet die DTTS ’n administrasieklerk aanstel.

The Desmond Tutu TB Centre (DTTC), in collaboration with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, has embarked on a fiveyear research study on HIV prevention.

All the study sites are located in South Africa. The project goal is to reduce the number of new HIV infections within targeted geographical areas by employing community workers to distribute HIV prevention packages that include the early initiation of antiretrovirals.To meet this goal, the DTTC needs to appoint an administration clerk.

 

Duties

  • Help stel notules en agendas op, na gelang van behoefte;
  • Bekom kwotasies vir skryfbehoeftes en dien dit by die finansies beampte in om bestellings te plaas;
  • Help met drukwerk en fotokopiëring;
  • Bekom kwotasies vir lokale en doen die nodige besprekings;
  • Reël verversings vir vergaderings en opleidingsessies;
  • Stel toerusting op vir vergaderings en opleidingsessies;
  • Tref internasionale en plaaslike reisreëlings vir personeellede;
  • Bied algemene administratiewe projeksteun;
  • Vervul alle pligte teen die agtergrond van die Universiteit Stellenbosch se missie, visie en waardestelling.

 

  • Assisting with the drafting of minutes and agendas as required;
  • Sourcing quotes for stationery and submit these to the finance officer to place orders;
  • Assisting with printing and photocopying;
  • Sourcing quotes for venues and booking it as required;
  • Arranging refreshments for meetings and training sessions;
  • Setting up equipment for meetings and training sessions;
  • Arranging international and local travel for staff;
  • Providing general administrative support for the project;
  • Performing all duties within the context of the mission, vision and values statement of Stellenbosch University.

 

Job Requirements/Pos VereistesMatriek;

  • Drie jaar ervaring van administratiewe werk;
  • Goeie rekenaarvaardighede, veral in Microsoft Excel, Word en Outlook;
  • Aandag aan detail;
  • ’n Doelgerigte ingesteldheid;
  • Die vermoë om in ’n span te werk. Matric;

 

  • Three years’ experience of administrative work;
  • Good computer skills, specifically regarding Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook;
  • An aptitude for attention to detail;
  • A goalorientated disposition;
  • The ability to work in a team.

 

Recommendation

  • Werkservaring in ’n navorsings of akademiese omgewing, of albei;
  • Opleiding in goeie kliniese praktyk;
  • Die vermoë om in Engels en in hetsy Afrikaans of isiXhosa te kommunikeer.
  • Work experience in a research or academic environment or both;

 

Good clinical practice training;

The ability to communicate in English and in either Afrikaans or isiXhosa.
