Are you passionate about demonstrating the value of academic research to wider society?
This role aims to enhance the quality of and build evidence for the impact of research carried out across the two Schools. This is primarily with a view to creating higher-quality impact case studies for the Schools’ Research Excellence Framework (REF) submissions to Panel 33: Music, Drama, Dance, Performing Arts Film and Screen Studies.You will have three main areas of responsibility.
First, to work with selected academic staff across both Schools, to generate, record and organise evidence of impact arising from research. Second, to carry out systematic reviews of impact excellence and best practice across the arts and humanities to inform strategic decisions about impact activity, including analysis of the REF impact criteria. Finally, to assist in the planning and delivery of activities, such as workshops, lectures etc., working with non-academic audiences to maximise impact.
You will be based at the University of Leeds and appropriate mentorship and career development support will be provided in line with career stage as part of the role.You will have experience of postgraduate level research within one of the major areas of the two schools as well as an understanding of impact in the context of Higher Education.
