Provide Leadership & Support to Social Workers
A London based Local Authority is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join their Fostering and Kinship service. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Practitioners who are looking to get into the realms of management. The post will see you lead and support the Fostering Social Workers who are mainly responsible for assessing carers.

The main focus of this post is to provide operational management and support Social Workers. The team is an established team with Social Workers being in post for at least 2-3 years and all of who are able to work autonomously. As an Advanced Practitioner your role will be to provide Supervision and help develop the level of practice throughout the team. The Local Authority has an ethos empowering Social Workers to work confidently and independently and you will be able to bring your own ideas to the table to help empower your team.
Over the course of the last few years the Local Authority has successfully redesigned its services to be able to provide a more holistic service to children and their families. They have also managed to maintain their budget over this period and haven't been forced to cut the budget of Social Worker demonstrating the LA's commitment to not only their service users but their staff who have access to training budgets to help further their own skill and experience.
To be considered for this post you should have strong experience within Fostering and should have experience of supervising and managing Social Worker.
