Social Worker Required in a Non Case Holding MASH Team

A Local Authority based in East London is looking to further improve stability in their MASH service by taking on more permanent staff. This is an excellent opportunity to take on assignment that provides a healthy work/life balance as hours of work are generally fixed between 09:00 - 17:00.

The team work in close proximity with other statutory services such as the Police and Education in order to investigate those circumstances surrounding children who may deemed to be at risk. The team focuses on multi-agency working and where you will be based in the same building you will have the opportunity to develop new professional and social relationships.

The team also work on specialist cases that might involve CSE, Missing Children and Trafficking etc. This generally gives Social Workers the opportunity to work on a range of cases that have a number of issues at play at once. The Local Authority itself is one of the most ethnically diverse areas in the country and due to the interaction within the communities this can add another dimension to your role making work more stimulating. Due to the nature of cases that Social Workers in the Authority usually come across, they are generally highly sought after by other Local Authorities due to their high competence and level of practice.

To be considered for this post you should have a strong background in an Assessment or MASH service.
