The Department of Medicine’s Endocrinology, Diabetes & Nutrition Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time senior basic/clinical/translational scientist-investigator.
Successful candidates will be an accomplished, independently funded investigator, with a strong record of publications and documented experience in teaching, mentoring and leadership. Qualified candidates are expected to contribute to the research, teaching and/or clinical missions of the University, sustain an externally funded individual research program consistent with the Department and School of Medicine’s vision, assist in the recruitment of funded investigators, and enhance research opportunities for the division. Ample time will be protected for research.
Clinical care responsibilities are not required, however, can be incorporated for the right candidate, provided the candidate is BE/BC in Endocrinology and is eligible for an independent Maryland medical license. Expected faculty rank for this position is Associate Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
