Senior Recruiter (post level 5) (contract appointment: 5 years)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Write job descriptions and job profiles in collaboration with the HR Business Partners and Head of Departments.
  • Responsible for the full life-cycle recruiting activities, including developing search/sourcing strategies, reviewing applicants, screening, interviewing and evaluating candidates, initiating assessments, coordinating the interview process and supporting the selection process.
  • Manage candidate engagement, provide a positive and strong candidate experience, while maintaining responsive and continuous communications.
  • Provide support and advice to management in senior recruitment activities and ensures that good practice, latest thinking and research are presented to management as appropriate so that sound talent management decisions are made.

    Inherent requirements:

    • A relevant honours degree in human resources/ industrial psychology or related field.
    • Five (5) to eight (8) years’ recruitment experience.

    Required competencies:

  • Thorough understanding of HR theories and best practices.
  • Sound knowledge of business drivers and trends as well as environmental factors which influence and shape HR strategies.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, compensation and benefits, labour relations and negotiation.
  • Business acumen.

  • Building coalition.


    • A relevant Masters’ degree in human resources/ industrial psychology or related field.
