Duties and responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate modules in Commerce Education.
Overall administration in an academic environment.
Student registrations (PGDiP/ beD(Hons), Masters and doctoral students).
Process marks for (PGDiP/B Ed (Hons), Masters and doctoral students).
Give academic advise to prospective and current education students.
Arrange travelling and accommodation for the coordinators of programmes.
Do any other responsibilities delegated by the coordinators of programmes.
An Honour’s degree in the field of Educational management with an undergraduate degree in Commerce Education.
A good academic record.
Good research skills and writing abilities.
Sound interpersonal relationship skills.
Good computer literacy skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Familiarity with inclusive practices and alternative assessment strategies.
Master’s degree or willingness to enrol for a Master’s degree in an appropriate Educational field of study at the first available opportunity, if not yet attained by the time of the appointment.
Familiarity with teaching strategies, methodologies and assessments practices used in higher education contexts.
