Job Details
The post holder will be carrying out experiments aimed at understanding the functional role of endogenous cardiotonic steroids in cardiac cells and tissues. This will encompass electrophysiological, biochemical and fluorescence based techniques, and functional experiments in primary and iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes, atrial tissue and Langendorff-perfused mouse hearts.
Person Specification
The successful applicant should have experience in cardiac biology. Experience in electrophysiology, fluorescence imaging techniques, primary cardiomyocyte isolation and Home Office License is desired but not necessary.
