Job Purpose

The goal of the UK PSC Project is to provide a platform in which the characteristics of patients with the rare liver disease Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) are studied in great depth, from which new treatments can be developed and implemented. By improving our scientific understanding of PSC, we can help develop new drugs to better protect against toxic bile, reduce inflammation, and resolve liver scarring.

As the UK PSC Project Manager you will largely be required to work independently on your own initiative, through the application of relevant knowledge, skills and experience. You will be responsible for developing and implementing systems for project management of the UK PSC Study, supported by the UK PSC Data Manager.

You will build significant links with consortium partners providing an efficient operational base for the effective project management and administration of UK PSC by Birmingham and its partners, to ensure delivery of the project and its outputs within the timetable set out by the study funder. We therefore require someone with the skills and organisational drive to ensure the smooth running and delivery of the project. This post would be suitable for someone with previous clinical study project management experience.
