One of my clients is currently looking for a team manager to join an incredibly supportive and structured team.
The local authority has a clear vision, and this resonates throughout their team. The whole management team is permanent, and has been for a few years so you know you will always have consistent support, which will help you to feel completely sure in your decisions.
You will also have the benefit of being part of local authority that is extremely well managed. They realise that the role can be stressful, and they do everything that they can to ensure that their social workers keep their work life balance. They have specific teams dedicated to doing certain admin tasks, taking work off of the social workers plate and ensuring they can spend more time where it matters, with the children and families.
The local authority offers managed caseloads, with only a very small number of the cases going to court, helping to keep the social workers work life balance, and helping them to effectively help the children and families.
