Do you want to work with International students?

Do you want to coordinate a team of assistants who organise, facilitate and promote cultural events?

Are you interested in supporting language learning inside and outside the classroom?

As a Language Centre Social Assistant Co-ordinator you will coordinate a team of assistants who welcome and support international students’ orientation, wellbeing and life at the University of Leeds. You will provide logistical support for the organisation, promotion and delivery of social and cultural events and classroom based activities, whilst also taking an active part in activities.You will encourage participation, a sense of community and maintain a friendly and responsible presence in the Language Centre and act as an ambassador for the University of Leeds. You will work on a rotational basis in the daytime, evening and at weekends which will average out to 35 hours per week. Appropriate training will be provided and support structures are in place to ensure that you are fully equipped to carry out the job description and know who to contact should you require additional support.
