Visa Support - Silicone formulation - international company

My client is a worldwide producer of chemicals, silicones and additives. They focus on R&D, global supply and the unique customizable products. From the R&D in The Netherlands, products are sold worldwide.

Besides that, the organization has facilities in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, South Africa, and many more . The customers are in a diverse range of industries, including automotive, oil / petrochemical, personal care and construction. Worldwide.

This position would be for the business unit in Silicone based materials.

Function:

• Independently develop (formulate) and test new products according to customer specifications as well as maintain current product portfolio by performing raw material substitutions, perform internal and/or external testing and solve quality issues.
• Responsible for leading, planning, managing assigned projects from Idea to commercial according to Product Creation Process (PCP)
• Design and execute tests plans to gain design approvals from internal and external customers
• Cooperate with operations and quality departments for implementation of new technologies into the manufacturing plant and setting up quality specifications to ensure product qualities.
• Participate in long term product/ technology planning as well as conduct feasibility studies

Qualifications:

• Use your (>10 years of) experience in silicones and synthesis to develop experimental approaches, define product and spec requirements.
• Innovate by combining our internal know how with your experience.
• A pragmatic yet sound scientist that also sees new trends and opportunities, likes to work in a wide technological area wrt silicone chemistries and application, but also liaises with regulatory, engineering, purchase, product line managers, sales, as well as customer (R&D).
• A team player with a drive for continuous improvemen
