A position is available within the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit at the University of Bristol. The postholder would be based within the Tobacco and Alcohol Research Group at the University of Bristol (http://www.bris.ac.uk/expsych/research/brain/targ/), part of the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/integrative-epidemiology/) and the UK Centre for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies (http://www.ukctas.ac.uk/ukctas/index.aspx).

 

The post-holder will work on methodological and applied projects concerned with developing and applying methods for causal analyses (including Mendelian randomization) to examine the effect of health behaviours on physical and mental health outcomes. Methodological challenges to be addressed include selection bias, missing data, measurement error (i.e. bias in self-report) and analysis of longitudinal data.

 

This position is available from 01 May 2018 and funding is initially available until 30th December 2022.
