The role

The successful appointee will be responsible for developing in-situ electrochemical liquid transmission electron microscopy tools to investigate transport mechanisms in battery and other relevant materials.  The successful applicant will also be involved in supervising postgraduate and honours students.

 

The person

Applicants should be within 5 years of completing a PhD  in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Physics or a related field. You should have demonstrated expertise with a range of TEM techniques and an understanding of electrochemistry for battery systems. Experience with in-situ TEM instrumentation is highly advantageous.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Remuneration

This is a full-time fixed term appointment at Research Academic level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,533 - $87,535 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,504 - $102,416 p.a.).
