Do you have excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise your own workload and that of others?

The International Medieval Congress (IMC) is an annual conference showcasing the latest research on all aspects of the middle ages. In addition to providing an international forum for academic discussion and debate, the non-for-profit IMC serves as a platform for outreach and widening participation in the city and region and involves stakeholders from across the University and the city of Leeds. It is a flagship event for the University and the largest conference of its kind in Europe (with around 2400 participants each year) and 2018 will see the 25th anniversary and expected numbers will be in excess of 2500.

We are seeking a highly motivated manager to effectively manage the non-academic aspects of the IMC with the aim of providing a high quality service, customer satisfaction, and securing value for money to ensure financial sustainability of the IMC. You will have significant management experience within the conference and events sector and experience of planning and delivering successful key events and/or conferences. You will also have the ability to motivate, manage and develop staff effectively and will be able to manage budgets. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships and influence key stakeholders.
