DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments):

• knowledge of the methods of manufacturing of the protective coatings (conversion and galvanic) on the surface of the metallic alloys,
• knowledge of the methods of the characterization of the conversion and galvanic coatings – the microstructure, chemical and phase composition, tribological properties, adhesion to the substrate, corrosion resistance,
• knowledge of the electrochemical corrosion processes of metals and alloys and the methods of their protection against corrosion,
• knowledge of the methods of conducting of the corrosion studies (for instance using the electrochemical methods including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy),
• active participation in the scientific research on the production of the protective (conversion and galvanic) coatings, their characterization and the kinetics of the corrosion processes of metals and alloys,
• cooperation with an industry and scientific institutions.

 

Candidates for the above position should meet the following requirements:

• doctor’s degree in materials science, metallurgy,
• fulfillment of the conditions described in the act of July 27th 2005 Law on Higher Education (Journal of Laws of 2017, item. 2183 with later changes) and law of 25th June 2015 Ignacy Lukasiewicz Rzeszow University of Technology Statute,
• the knowledge of the materials science including the corrosion of metals and their alloys, the methods of their protection against corrosion by using the protective coatings and corrosion inhibitors,
• the knowledge of the experimental methods applied for the determination of the wear resistance and the anti-corrosive properties of the coatings produced onto metals and their alloys,
• the knowledge of the experimental methods applied in the corrosion testing of metals and their alloys (including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy),
• the ability for conducting of the university classes on one’s own,
• scientific achievements published in the international and domestic journals,
• the knowledge of English language – perfect,
• the following of the generally accepted ethical standards.
