Assistant Professor

Terms of competition for the fulltime post of assistant in Iranian Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Warsaw, Poland, as from 1st of October 2018. The candidate should meet the following requirements:

 

• at least a MA degree in Iranian Studies and open procedure for PhD thesis defense;
• fluent command of Persian in writing and speaking;
• certificated experience in teaching Persian;
• knowledge of Polish, English, and French languages;
• expertise in the 20th century period in Iran;
• expertise and research in the field of Iran's relations with its neighbors in the 20th century;
• experience in editing and publishing the teaching and scholarly printed matter in both Polish and Persian languages;
• participation in international conferences in the field of the Iranian Studies (with their own paper);
• participation in research projects in Iran;
• at least one paper published in a scholarly periodical.

Temporary type of contract with the possibility of prolongation

• A candidate should provide the following documents:

• Copy of PhD diploma in humanities;
• Professional Curriculum Vitae and 2 photos;
• Filled in personal data form;
• Record of scientific and educational achievements;
• One opinion letter about the candidate from professors or senior staff members (one from outside the current institution);
