Occupational Therapist

Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

• assessing the patients, developing and delivering the inpidual occupational therapy treatment program to improve patient's perceptual cognitive skills, fine motor skills, psychosocial activities and activities of daily livings.
• formulating treatment / exercise plans for patients enabling them to achieve treatment goals.
• educating and advising patients and their family regarding prevention and /or improving the conditions.
• liaising with other healthcare personnel in daily ward rounds to obtain relevant information about the progress of patients.
• participating in the in-house training programmes, tutorials and inpidual training sessions.

Requirements

• BSc in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university or its equivalent.
• Minimum 01 year of experience as Occupational Therapist or 01 year Traineeship in a hospital preferable.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy, theory, technique and equipment.
• Ability to perform occupational therapy procedures and operate equipment/ gadgets.
