Professor/Director of Research for the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Cornell International Consortium of Research in Aortic Surgery

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital | Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, is recruiting a Professor in Cardiothoracic Surgery/Director of Research to lead international translational research programs focused on coronary artery bypass and thoracic aortic surgery including basic science, translational research, advanced methodology and clinical activities.

Must have extensive post MD surgical experience and proven expertise in aortic molecular biology, clinical outcome research, translational research, meta-analysis and randomized trials including authoring a significant body of publications in peer-reviewed journals in the field.

Strong scientific experience and statistical and methodological knowledge required. Exceptional abilities to work independently and lead translational research groups. Duties include bench work, biology lab, outcome research, meta-analysis, randomized trials and surgical expertise in all-arterial coronary bypass.

Compenstation Range: 200K-260K / year commensurate with experience.
