    The Division of University Operations enables the University's delivery of high-quality and distinct learning, teaching and research experiences. The division's strategic responsibilities have evolved from the University of Adelaide's strategic plan, focusing on people, community, assets and infrastructure and processes.

    The Planning and Analytics branch is a part of the University’s Division of University Operations, which provides enabling services and resource capabilities to support the University’s teaching and research objectives and activities. Planning and Analytics supports strategic and operational planning, performance reporting, analytics development and survey/data management within the University. The branch assists with developing the University's Strategic, Operational and Business Plans plus monitoring their implementation performance.

    The branch includes management information analysts, data warehouse specialists, business intelligence/analytics experts and planning officers who research, compile and interpret information to help the university create its plans and achieve its goals.

    We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude and a high level of interpersonal skills who enjoys interacting and working with people at all levels in an organisation. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for unlocking the business valued information from varied sources of data, having experience with ETL development and data staging techniques and have experience in large corporate information systems in a complex environment or enterprise data warehouse.

    In this role you will work on Business Intelligence projects and operational activities with a focus on data integration and includes providing ongoing support and maintenance of the University's Data Warehouse.

    Salary: (HEO8) $95,493 to $107,179 per annum.

    Superannuation: An employer contribution of up to 17% applies.

    Term of position: This fixed term position is available immediately for a 2 year period.

    Position requirements

    To be successful you should have:

    1. Proven experience with ETL development and data staging techniques
    2. Proven experience in the development and support of large corporate information systems in a complex environment or Enterprise Data Warehouse
    3. Demonstrated high-level skills in SQL
    4. Experience with relational and dimensional data modelling and analysis
    5. Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (desirable)
    6. Experience with Cognos Business Intelligence (desirable)
