The Open University has been transforming lives since 1969 by opening up higher education to all sections of the community.

As the Senior Manager, Operations & Business Improvement (Wales) you will be a key member of The Open University in Wales’ senior team as we work together to ensure that a growing number of learners in Wales recognise and enjoy the benefits of part time distance learning with the Open University.

You will work closely with academic and professional colleagues in Wales and the wider University to deliver the smooth functioning of the Open University in Wales in support of our strategic objectives.   You will ensure that people are supported and systems are in place to secure and make the very most of all resources available to the Open University in Wales – people, money, accommodation, facilities, information and data – and that we work appropriately to meet all relevant statutory, regulatory and University requirements.

You will need to possess an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) along with evidence of up-to-date engagement with continuing professional development activities relevant to the role. A postgraduate qualification in a discipline relevant to the role is desirable.

Byddwch yn gweithio’n agos gyda chydweithwyr academaidd a phroffesiynol yng Nghymru a’r Brifysgol yn ehangach i sicrhau gweithrediad llyfn y Brifysgol Agored yng Nghymru o ran cefnogi ein hamcanion strategol.  Byddwch yn sicrhau bod pobl yn cael eu cefnogi a bod systemau yn eu lle i sicrhau ac i fanteisio i’r eithaf ar yr holl adnoddau sydd ar gael i'r Brifysgol Agored yng Nghymru – pobl, arian, llety, cyfleusterau, gwybodaeth a data – a’n bod yn gweithio'n briodol i fodloni holl ofynion statudol, rheoleiddiol a gofynion y Brifysgol.

Bydd angen i chi feddu ar radd israddedig (neu gyfatebol) ynghyd â thystiolaeth o ymgysylltu diweddar gyda gweithgareddau datblygiad proffesiynol parhaus sy’n berthnasol i’r briod rôl. Mae cymhwyster ôl-radd mewn disgyblaeth berthnasol i’r rôl yn ddymunol.
