Regulatory Manager - Key Position - Somerset

This key role involves regulatory support and evaluation of all products produced by our business. The successful candidate will manage coordination of regulatory checks and approvals as well as providing expert knowledge and support to key teams within the company, for new and live products as well as maintain awareness of the changing regulatory environment and working with the Chief Scientist to develop the appropriate responses.

Responsibilities: Answering enquires on current and potential projects Prepare/update procedures as required, Prepare/process documentation for other aspects of business. Supplying customers and internal teams with requested paperwork. Ensure all formulations submitted to customer or placed on market comply with relevant legislation for the specified market and with specific customer requirements - will require liaison with customers and suppliers. Ensure all new formulations have been fully tested according to relevant legislation for the specified market, including safety assessment before first manufacture and notification management where appropriate. Provide R&D with completed customer regulatory data according to agreed critical path. Maintain database to allow accurate formulation data such as INCI listings to be generated - will require liaison with suppliers, check all artwork for compliance with relevant legislation. Manage relevant site regulatory and technical data systems and ensure all are reviewed, updated and maintained to meet company requirements.

Successful applicant will be: Ability to interpret detailed and complex legislative information and to provide site management with clear reports/updates. Minimum 3 years experience in a personal care product development/regulatory or quality environment with good knowledge of Cosmetic/Aerosol and other legislation. Project management skills for implementation of new regulations and approaches.

Degree (or equivalent) educated in science held or significant experience in a similar role. IT skills with data systems, word processing, databases and spreadsheets. Communication skills - written & verbal. Presentation skills and the ability to discuss complex technical issues to all levels of competency.

Flexible & adaptable to changing business requirements and priorities. Structured and confident approach to problem solving
