Job Details
Helminths cause a significant public health burden yet treatment options are limited. Our research aims to discover and develop novel anthelminthic drugs. The proposed project includes bioanalytical and pharmacokinetic studies. The Postdoc will develop an analytical method on LC- MS/MS for dried blood spots to quantify moxidectin and will be involved in clinical pharmacokinetic trials on this drug.
To best fit into our exciting research team we expect the following qualifications:
- PhD degree in biology, chemistry, pharmacy or similar with a background in analytical chemistry and interested in a multidisciplinary work environment.
- Self-motivated and career-oriented with strong critical thinking and communication skills, be well organized, and display initiative and enthusiasm.
- Interested in joining the clinical trial team in helminthiasis endemic countries and intercultural work.
The Postdoc will be involved in the supervision of Bachelor, PhD and Master students and will help with teaching.
A tentative starting date is May 1st 2018 but this is flexible.
