Senior Scientist - 1 Year Contract - Cambridge, UK

My client is a world leading diagnostics company and right now, they are looking for a Senior Scientist within Biochemistry who would love to build on their industry/academic knowledge and work at the forefront of diagnostic technology and development.

You will be working in the centre of the R&D department where you have the opportunity to apply your scientific knowledge and use this to help advance techniques and sequencing with other scientific professionals. On top of that, you will experience what working within an industry leader is.

This opportunity is ideal for those with a PhD in Biochemistry or who have some experience in Next Generation Sequencing as part of their degree or in a laboratory setting.

At first, this position will be a 1 year fixed term contract, however the company is growing and could offer alternate career opportunities for the future.
Key Requirements for this Senior Scientist position include:
* A PhD in Biochemistry or related discipline
* Proven knowledge of NGS is highly beneficial
* Previous experience working within a research and development department is highly beneficial
* This role is ideally looking for the successful candidate to begin in May 2018. Strong applicants who cannot begin at this time will also be considered.
