Northern Europe Sales Manager - Surface Treatment - Speciality Chemicals

On behalf of one of my client - both growing and leading company within speciality chemicals for surface treatments with a main activity on aerospace market but not only (energy, automotive, railway) - I'm looking for a talented Northern Europe Sales Manager with a true quality of leadership in order to drive a team of 5 Technical Sales Manager across Europe (UK, Scandinavia).

Directly reporting to the VP EMEA of my client, the job purpose of the successful candidate will be to manage a sales team to ensure regional sales development, in coordination with KAM, product managers and in a partnership type and sustainable customer approach.

Profile I'm looking for:

  • You have a proven leadership experience and you are recognized for your capacity and talent to motivate a team of technical sales manager - You will have to communicate and bring together the team's actions by creating a link with the company's strategy
  • You master commercial techniques as well as customers' decision-making and purchasing processes and are able to anticipate their development needs
  • You also master business economics / microeconomics and are able to use a marketing approach
  • You have a knowledge of the chemical industry, ideally within speciality chemicals solutions and are in capacity to argue the essential technical elements of the chemistry of my clients products / materials related as well as the benefits of its solutions

The ideal person would be located in United Kingdom / Ireland (or Paris) with an easy airport access as the role will involve an important presence in UK as well as in Ireland, Scandinavia and France (Headquarter located in France).

Experience within speciality chemicals is not mandatory but it's a real bonus in the application

Here are the main responsibilities that the position involves:

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of the turnover and gross margin of the commercial region and will use all means at his/her disposal to ensure the realization of the strategic plan.
  • Management of a team of Technical Sales Managers: manages, advises, coordinates, and controls the service
  • Supervision of the sales team in the field: organization and coordination of their activities, training in suitable commercial methods
  • Definition of annual business plans in terms of structuring product or service lines, development of price lists, choice of distribution channels, promotional and penetration of products and goods policies in agreement with Market Managers.
  • Ensuring of a balance between commercial imperatives and supply chain / production constraints.
