Product Developer in silicones- Netherlands

My client is a worldwide producer of chemicals, silicones and additives. They focus on R&D, global supply and the unique customizable products. From the R&D in The Netherlands, products are sold worldwide.

Besides that, the organization has facilities in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, South Africa, and many more. The customers are in a diverse range of industries, including automotive, oil / petrochemical, personal care and construction giving you a wide scope of products so you could grasp all of those different skills and become one of the leading specialists in the silicone market.

Function:
* Independently develop (formulate) and test new products according to customer specifications as well as maintain current product portfolio by performing raw material substitutions, perform internal and/or external testing and solve quality issues.
* Design and execute tests plans to gain design approvals from internal and external customers
* Participate in long term product/ technology planning as well as conduct feasibility studies

Qualifications:
* experience in silicones synthesis to develop experimental approaches, define product and spec requirements.
* Exp. in Silicone emulsions
* 7-10 years exp. in a similar role
* A team player with a drive for continuous improvement
