Teaching Fellow in Shakespeare Studies

As a Teaching Fellow at the Shakespeare Institute, you will be expected to undertake teaching at postgraduate level and to participate in the Institute’s overall contribution to the School, College, and University. The post will include administrative duties. The successful candidate will have relevant teaching experience, and will be committed to providing an excellent student learning experience. This is a fixed-term, 0.7fte appointment and is available from

1st September 2018 until 30th June 2019. It is expected that the post-holder will teach for approximately 12-13 hours per week and will be responsible for up to twenty personal tutees, and will undertake supervision of MA dissertations.

 

Candidate Requirements

• A PhD in an area relating to Shakespeare
• High level analytical capability
• Considerable experience of teaching students and marking their work in the area of Shakespeare Studies
• Ability to design and deliver module materials successfully
• Ability to assess and organise resources effectively
• Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes
