Monash’s Faculty of Engineering invites outstanding academics to join our committed group of award-winning academics focused on delivering excellence in teaching and research.

Monash is in the top 100 universities globally and a founding member of Australia's Group of Eight - the most research-intensive universities in the country. Monash Engineering ranks as the number one faculty in Australia for engineering and technology (Times Higher Education, 2016-2017). We presently have 255 academic staff including 100+ research-only staff, and 800+ PhD students supporting our research. We’re renowned worldwide for the quality of our teaching and research, and the calibre of our graduates.

The Faculty will be investing over $15 million in new appointments over the next three years. We are seeking to appoint candidates to fill academic positions across all levels from Lecturer to Professor, to enrich collaborative, interdisciplinary research and teaching within and between departments and with complimentary faculties. Specifically, the Faculty is looking to recruit in the following areas:

  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Functional Materials
  • Smart Manufacturing
  • Smart Systems (Construction/Infrastructure/Agriculture)
  • Structural Materials

Whilst these areas are of particular interest, exceptional candidates from all areas of engineering will be considered.
