Assistant or Associate Professor - Environmental Statistician
The Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS)/School of Marine Science of the College of William and Mary invites applications for a tenure-eligible Assistant or Associate Professor.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold an earned Doctorate (Ph.D.) in statistics, biostatistics, environmental statistics or related field at the time of appointment. We seek applicants who share VIMS’ commitment to the principle that diversity and inclusion are critical to maintaining excellence.
Responsibilities will include an introductory graduate level statistics course and two advanced courses, primarily for graduate students pursuing degrees in marine science. The successful candidate will collaborate on scientific research and synthesis with faculty of VIMS, and provide statistical support to students, faculty and staff. Development of independent lines of research and extramural funding will be encouraged.
