    The Division of University Operations enables the University's delivery of high-quality and distinct learning, teaching and research experiences. The division's strategic responsibilities have evolved from the University of Adelaide's strategic plan, focusing on people, community, assets and infrastructure and processes.

     

    The Information Technology and Digital Services branch is part of the Division of University Operations, which provides technology capabilities to support the University's teaching and research objectives and business activities. The branch services the vast University community through four core services: IT Business Engagement, IT Programs and Digital Solutions Delivery, IT Operations and Digital Services, and IT Strategy Planning and Governance.

    This is a new leadership role responsible for partnerships with IT Vendors to ensure equipment, components, applications and services are delivered to specification. The position will lead and manage the IT Vendors to meet the current and future needs of the University. The key responsibilities will be the overall leadership and management of Vendor Assurance, which is responsible for developing and championing a rigorous Vendor Management System.

     

    Salary:

    (HEO10) $122,720 to $130,819 per annum.

     

    Superannuation:

    An employer contribution of up to 17% may apply.

     

    Term of position:

    This continuing position is available immediately. 

     

    Position requirements

    To be successful you should have:

    1. Demonstrated experience and a proven track record in Commercial Management, Quality Assurance or Vendor Leadership roles with an understanding of IT contracting models and the implications they have on financial management, vendor management, contracts and program management.
    2. Proven experience in customer centric roles where innovative solutions were designed to enable higher levels of customer service.
    3. A solid understanding of the Contract Management processes, principles, methodologies and tools.
    4. Demonstrated ability to exercise a high degree of independent operation, strategic, problem solving and creative thinking, and a proven capacity to plan, prioritise and implement strategies for a large and complex organisation.
    5. Capacity for understanding the development needs of a leading Australian university, and awareness of local and international trends in the higher education sector.
    6. Relationship skills as an essential part of working with vendors and stakeholders. This involves a broad range of communication skills, problem-solving, leadership, accommodation, flexibility, and influencing and negotiations skills.
