The Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences invites applications for the position of Research Assistant to work on an HEC sponsored research project in the field of cancer biology.
This is a contractual position for three years.
Responsibilities
You will primarily be responsible for:
- trouble-shooting, optimizing and conducting experiments
- studying and analyzing data
- preparing reports, abstracts and manuscript writing
- ordering and maintaining materials and capital equipment.
Requirements
You should have:
- a BSc/BS or MSc/MS or equivalent degree in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics, etc.) preferably with enrollment in MPhil/PhD from an HEC recognized or foreign university/institution with interest in medical research
- at least one year of relevant work experience
- working knowledge in basic sciences with skills in laboratory techniques, particularly tissue culture
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- computer literacy
- ability to multitask several projects
- ability to work in fast-paced environment.
