Are you an experienced administrator with an interest in the science of climate change and its global impact?

Do you wish to use your excellent organisational and communication skills to support a team of climate scientists engaged in advancing our understanding of climate variability?

Do you also wish to provide important support to the charity the United Bank of Carbon, aimed at protecting and restoring the world’s forests?

The NERC-funded research consortium, Securing Multidisciplinary UndeRstanding and Prediction of Hiatus and Surge events (SMURPHS) comprises the UK Universities of Leeds (Lead Partner), Edinburgh, Exeter, Reading, Oxford, East Anglia and Southampton; the National Oceanography Centre and the British Antarctic Survey. External partners include, the UK Met Office, European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), Max-Planck-Institut fur Meteorologie (MPIM), Centre for International Climate and Environmental Research – Oslo (CICERO) and Laboratoire de Glaciologie et Géophysique de l’Environnement (LGGE).The United Bank of Carbon (UBoC) is a UK-based charity that collaborates between responsible businesses, local authorities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and leading environmental academics who, together, aim to promote environmental sustainability by protecting and restoring the world’s forests and green spaces through environmentally and socially responsible partnerships.
