The role
The position works within the International Admissions Office at the St Lucia Campus. The prime purpose of this position is to provide high quality administrative support to the International Admissions Section, particularly in relation to supporting the activities of the Admissions Assessment Team by assisting processing applications and responding to agent and student queries of offers and data entry of new applications.
The person
You should have completed a diploma level qualification with relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. The appointee is expected to have a minimum of one year’s administrative experience at UQ or in a similar higher education or admissions environment. The appointed should have strong customer service skills including experience resolving complex queries in a busy reception environment; knowledge of the University policies, procedures, organisation structures and functions, or capacity to rapidly gain such knowledge; Strong writing skills, including experience in providing written responses to customer enquiries; Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute with a high level of accuracy; A high level of computer literacy and keyboard skills, including ability to use email, internet and Microsoft Office suite of programs; Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands; Good organisational skills and the ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met, whilst demonstrating accuracy and strong attention to detail.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Remuneration
This is a fixed-term appointment until 1 July 2018 at HEW level 4. Depending on the delivery of the API, there may be an opportunity for the position to be extended for up to 6-months. The remuneration package will be in the range $59,429.60 - $63,305.88 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5% (total package will be in the range $65,103.91- $69,319.94 p.a.).
