The School of Psychology is one of the most prestigious schools of psychology in Australia, and its strong reputation is built on excellence in both research and teaching. The role

The successful applicant will be expected to coordinate and teach courses in the area of evolutionary behavioural genetics; to supervise students undertaking research and professional training, and to develop an independent program of externally funded research in this area. Administrative service within the School is also required.

 

The person

Applicants should possess a PhD in behavioural genetics or related area, a competitive track record of publications in evolutionary behavioural genetics, experience and ability in teaching undergraduate courses in psychology, and experience supervising honours and postgraduate students conducting research in evolutionary behavioural genetics.

The successful candidate will have an established record of publications in high quality outlets, be expected to achieve national recognition in this area, and will be able to undertake a chief investigator role in applications for external research funds.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Remuneration

This is a full-time continuing appointment at Academic Level C. The remuneration package will be in the range $112,874.46 - $130,150.91 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $132,063.12 - $152,276.56 p.a.).
