Job Details
Embedded in the Graduate Center, the Transferable Skills program consists of more than 70 interdisciplinary and interactive workshops per year to support researchers during their dissertation period and to prepare for a professional career inside or outside of academia.
The position is available immediately. The contract will be limited to a period of two years with the possibility of an extension.
Your position
As a Manger Transferable Skills role you will be required to:
- Plan, develop and organize the Transferable Skills workshop program
- Manage participants and maintain the educational database
- Manage logistics (rooms, hotels, course material)
- Controlling invoices and training contracts
- Develop new courses and reach out to internal and external trainers and experts
- First contact point for students requests
- Maintenance of homepage and organization of upcoming calls
- Feeding social media platforms
- Support a variety of GRACE activities throughout the year as required
Your profile
- Minimum a Masters degree
- Affinity to the academic setting with an understanding of the Swiss Higher educational system
- Experience in organization and coordination of events and workshops
- Coordination of different stakeholders from various disciplines
- Excellent networking skills within a cross-cultural/cross-discipline working environment
- Strong communication skills in both English and German (written and oral)
- High adaptability, flexibility and attention to detail
- Advanced computer skills, MS Office, and readiness to learn and apply new tool-
