Do you possess the interest and commitment to have an active involvement in the development of research in the area of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic sclerosis or osteoarthritis?

The research is focussed on the development of a comprehensive portfolio of studies, including commercial and academic clinical trials, and longitudinal cohorts for the investigation of imaging and serological biomarkers of disease development and response to therapy. Projects include:
- Characterising individuals at risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis and development of proof of concept studies to prevent disease progression
- Development of interventions based on stratified prognosis in psoriatic arthritis
- Development of interventions based on stratified prognosis in systemic sclerosis
- Evaluation of acellular scaffolds and regenerative devices for the treatment of osteoarthritis
With an excellent undergraduate degree in medicine, experience in rheumatology, dermatology or orthopaedics (dependent on the project) and research, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will play an essential role in all aspects of the research, helping study coordination, providing patient care under consultant supervision for study participants and collecting follow up data. It is expected that the research would lead to the opportunity to register for a PhD.
